Dr. Birch comes to our Murrells Inlet office after twenty-nine years of dental experience. As a teen, he achieved the rank of Eagle Scout and received the Vigil honor in the Order of the Arrow. Dr. Birch is a 1979 graduate from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine, where he was elected into the honorary dental fraternity O.K.U. During his years in practice in Pennsylvania, he served as President of the Mid-Mon Valley Dental Society. In 1991 he received his Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry; and in 2006, after 1600 hours of continuing education, he received his Masters in the Academy. Dr. Birch has served on numerous medical mission trips to third world countries, providing much needed dental care. In August of 2008 after relocating from his practice in Pennsylvania, Dr. Birch has the honor of joining Dr. Meares and Dr. Kelly at the Carolina Dental Center.
