Dr. Kelly came to our Murrells Inlet office in 1999 with thirty-four years of dental experience.

His dental career began in private practice in his hometown of Spartanburg, South Carolina. In 1970 he joined the Veterans’ Administration as a staff dentist. Dr. Kelly obtained his specialty in prosthodontics and was chosen as Chief of Dentistry for the VA Medical Center in Fayetteville, North Carolina.

During his service at the VA Medical Center, he also held a teaching position with the UNC Dental School. He has helped train over five hundred dental students and nearly one hundred dentists seeking postgraduate training and degrees.

Retiring after twenty-nine years of service to the VA Medical Center and UNC, Dr. Kelly has returned to his home state to join Dr. Meares in private dental practice.

Dr. Kelly is a member of Murrells Inlet Presbyterian Church, the faculty at Horry Georgetown Technical College Dental Hygiene School, and of the South Carolina Dental Association. He currently assists the Georgetown Hospital Systems in health fairs providing oral cancer screenings and dental consultations to our community.

Dr. Kelly’s broad base of dental knowledge and skill provides our patients with high quality tooth replacement and rehabilitation.
